Hi, I’m Maree Morris. I  live in the beautiful township of Gisborne and feel blessed to be Principal here at St Brigid’s.

I have two amazing, adult children who also attended St Brigid’s. We live on acreage with dogs, cats, horses and many gorgeous chickens who provide us with fresh eggs and friendship!

I am passionate about education and feel privileged to have been a teacher and leader in a number of Catholic schools. At St Brigid’s, we aspire to ignite the passions and learning of each individual. We nurture relationships, develop connections and build community.
We pride ourselves on our excellent practices, high expectations and dedicated staff!

I am truly blessed to be leading St Brigid’s school; a proud, vibrant, high achieving school with a deep commitment to offering your children an education of the highest standards.

I look forward to meeting you.

Wellbeing / Religious Education Leader / Deputy Principal (Email: mdaly@sbgisborne.catholic.edu.au)

I have a passion for wellbeing and authentic community connections.  I love coming to school each day and have been connected to the St Brigid’s family for over 10 years.  Our strong bonds are what makes us special!  Each child and family member are valued for what they bring to our community.  We support, inspire and nurture the growth in each other, developing and expressing our unique gifts and talents.  I am passionate about empowering young people to take action in our world and am blessed by being able to work alongside many amazing students in my role as Mini Vinnies Social Justice leader.  When I am not at school I love family time, playing golf or spending time in nature.  I also love time with our family pets, our dog, cats, goats, snake and lizards.

Sue Royle

Sue Royle

Administration (Email: sroyle@sbgisborne.catholic.edu.au)

I have worked in the Office at St Brigid’s for 18 years. In that time I have seen many families come and go. I have watched the Preps start their school journey then graduate in Grade 6. I have even seen some of them return to complete their Work Experience here.  I feel that being such a small school, I am able to really get to know the families and their children and cater for their individual needs. I enjoy being able to help others, be it the children, parents or staff.  On the occasional weekend, I also work at Flemington Racecourse (in the horse stalls and mounting yard). When I’m not working I love riding my Can Am (a three wheeler motorcycle) and spending time with my family, including my two gorgeous grandchildren.

Lisa Wilson

I have worked at St Brigid’s for over 10 years and have enjoyed every day.

I believe first impressions are important so I greet everyone to our beautiful school with a cheery and welcoming smile.  No two days are ever the same and there’s never a dull moment.

In my spare time I enjoy walking, shopping, socialising with friends and spending time with my family.

Keena Lane-Kerton

Keena Lane-Kerton

Foundation / Prep Teacher (Email: klane-kerton@sbgisborne.catholic.edu.au)

Hi I’m Keena and I have the privilege of working with the youngest at St. Brigid’s; the Foundation year children. Every day in our learning space is an adventure where the children use their natural curiosity to explore, ask questions, have fun, make new friends and develop their enthusiasm and love for learning. It’s exciting to see these little ones grow and learn. St. Brigid’s is a great example of a community that cares for and about children. As we are a small school we all know and look out for each other.
When I am not at St. Brigid’s I love to spend time with my family and friends. I play and coach netball and enjoy reading and going to the movies.

Annie Irwin

Annie Irwin

This will be my sixth year teaching at St Brigid’s and I still pinch myself every time I come to work.  It actually doesn’t feel like work, it feels like being with an extended family of learners! Outside of school, I enjoy going to the movies, watching the Tigers play footy with my family and being in the bush.

I love my St. Brigid’s family. As a past student, an involved parent of over 10 years and a teacher, I am a very passionate and proud member of our school community. My children and I could not wish for a more loving and supportive environment to learn and grow. I am grateful for the dedication and enthusiasm our staff, parents and students alike show each and every day to make our community so unique.

I am very fortunate in my role to be able to teach and get to know every student at St. Brigid’s each week. I learn so much from them and am excited about what we can achieve together as a team.

Hello. My name is Leigh Shore and I teach the Juniors. I have only been at St Brigid’s for a short time, but I have managed to form many friendships due to the welcoming nature of the school. The sense of community is all around us with support coming from staff, parents and the children. I love developing the minds of our young learners and enjoy being a part of all their WOW moments.  Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my family; reading and watching my children play sport.

I love working at St Brigid’s because every day I get to be part of a collaborative, supportive and inclusive learning community. I love that I get to provide my students with rich, engaging and relevant learning opportunities that promote self-motivation, curiosity, collaboration, and resilience.

There is also such a strong sense of community throughout the school, which instantly made me and anyone else who enters feel welcome.

Outside of work and school, I enjoy spending time with my friends over coffee and long brunches, going to the gym, watching football and playing netball.

Kathleen McCann

My name is Kathleen McCann and I have been at St Brigid’s in various roles for many years. St Brigid’s is such a welcoming community and I love how we all work together to support and grow with each other.

Stephanie Briggs

Stephanie Briggs

Middle School Classroom Teacher

I am honoured and thrilled to be a 3rd and 4th grade teacher this year alongside Kathleen and Brodie.  I take my job very seriously, but despite my great effort and my good intentions, I sometimes fumble.  I was not a perfect student and I don’t expect my students to be.  We all learn differently.  I encourage those I teach to help me understand how they learn best.  I pride myself on knowing an individual’s dreams inside and outside of school.  I try to connect them, for that is where one will find the true joy in learning.  I have completed teaching rounds in Western Australia and the Northern Territory, with a great love for Indigenous culture and life.  I live with my partner Dev and our daughter August who is 3.  Some of my very favorite activities include gardening, alongside my pets and reading.  I really enjoy spending my weekends exploring new and old places and going on adventures with my family.  I hope that alongside the school community, I can ensure my students have a truly remarkable education at St Brigid’s, as I embrace my first year at our school wholeheartedly, with passion and the willingness to grow.

Grade 5/6 Teachers

Mariah Plumb

Mariah Plumb

Senior School Classroom Teacher (Email: mplumb@sbgisborne.catholic.edu.au)

I love working at St Brigid’s because it is an inclusive, collaborative and supportive learning community.  As a small school it is fantastic to see the strong connections between parents, students, teachers and the wider community. I enjoy working in the Seniors and seeing the students grow as leaders and as people. They are able to engage in hands on learning tasks that ignites their curiosity and creativity for the world around them. Outside of school I enjoy watching my beloved Bombers play footy, going to the beach, playing netball and hanging out with my friends and family.

Adam Bremner

Adam Bremner

Senior School Classroom Teacher (Email: abremner@sbgisborne.catholic.edu.au)

St Brigid’s Primary has such a wonderful community and I love being a part of it. The friendly faces that I get to see every day make it such a happy place to be. The staff’s dedication to learning, and the student’s willingness to try new things, make it a creative and energetic learning environment. I have only been teaching here for a short time, but I look forward to putting many years into the school. I enjoy being in the outdoors, hiking and exploring, and the school location means that it’s only a very short drive to exploring state parks and with playground views of Mt Macedon, I can’t think of a better place to teach.

Specialised Teachers

Ramona Baker

Ramona Baker

I started at St Brigid’s as a classroom teacher then moved on to teach Physical Education. I love providing students a wide range of activities, games and sports through active, engaging and positive experiences. Our school is perfectly located in the township of Gisborne as we can easily tap into local resources, such as soccer fields, football grounds, tennis courts and the skate park, to provide diverse learning experiences.
Outside of teaching, I enjoy photography, camping (glamping!) and creating special memories with my family.

Jackie Schober

Jackie Schober

You will find me in the art studio, coming up with new ways to inspire our students and provide them with choices in the way they approach their art.
In my spare time, I love to be with my family: my husband Mick, and our two children, Laila and Dash. We love live music, travelling and watching and playing sport. We all love our cheeky dog Willie, who is naughty but just so adorable! He keeps us very busy!

I am new to St Brigid’s in 2020 as an Education Support Officer.  I am delighted to come to this school every day and interact with professionals who are so supportive, welcoming families and especially the amazing children who surprise me constantly with their witty humour, kindness for others and zest for learning.  As a past student of St Brigid’s over 40 years ago, it is truly amazing to return to where I started my education and life journey.  I changed careers 4 years ago and am currently studying my Bachelor of Early Childhood and Primary Education.  Outside of school you will always find me in my garden, with my family (husband and three children), cruising or planning weekend getaway adventures.

Sinead Scott

Sinead Scott

Education Support Officer (Email: sscott@sbgisborne.catholic.edu.au)

I have worked as a learning support officer for six years as of this year and enjoy helping children to learn new skills both academically and socially. I am also interested in martial arts and used to instruct children’s martial art classes in Brunswick. It was here that I really enjoyed teaching kids important life skills that could help them in understanding how to deal with conflict and communicate better with others. Outside of working in a school as an LSO I really enjoy snowboarding with my university friends as well as playing basketball and footy!

Rebecca Taylor

Rebecca Taylor

Education Support Officer (Email: rtaylor@sbgisborne.catholic.edu.au)

I started at St Brigid’s in 2019 on my work placement and I was fortunate enough to be given a        part-time job that has been flexible between my young family and my studies.  I am a true believer that all students should be given the opportunity to reach their highest potential and this is what St Brigid’s gives to their students as well as a nurturing and supportive school environment that reflects the wider community.  When I am not at St Brigid’s you will find me with my family, watching footy, gardening, reading a good book or down at the beach.

Robyn Delaney

Robyn Delaney

Education Support Officer (Email: rdelaney@sbgisborne.catholic.edu.au)

Hi, I’m Robyn and I’m a Learning Support Officer here at St. Brigid’s.  I love the sense of belonging and community felt here, built by the relationships between students, staff and families.  I believe this is St. Brigid’s greatest strength, one reason my children attended the school and why I’ve been here since 2000.
At St. Brigid’s we truly know our students – their individual needs, learning styles, motivators, likes and dislikes and their abilities. Our teamwork creates successful partnerships and improves the learning outcomes for all students – whatever their starting point.
I encourage each student’s personal belief in their ability to succeed – so that they are engaged and feel they belong, in an environment which is both playful and yet challenging.
When I’m not at St. Brigid’s, I enjoy being with my family and friends, and getting away in the bush camping and getting back to nature.
